Tangier and the Tetouan Region

Off-plan investment is continuing to grow at around 29% year on year. With the construction of a tunnel linking Spain to Tangier property prices will continue to rise.

Tangier

Tangier sits where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic Ocean, flaunting a magnificent bay below lush green hills. It's strategic position makes Tangier the gateway to the African continent, looking across at Europe from the shores of Atlantic and Mediterranean.

As a meeting-point of routes to so many different destinations, Tangier has been inhabited by Berbers, Portuguese and Spaniards all leaving their indelible mark on the city before it passed into Moroccan hands.

Tangier is the second industrial centre of Morocco after Casablanca. Its economy relies heavily on tourism and seaside resorts have been increasing with projects funded by foreign investments. Real estate and construction companies have been investing heavily in touristic infrastructure within Tangier and the Tetouan region with particular impetus for the city because of the completion of big projects such as the second ''Tangier-Mediterranean port'' and its industrial parks.

At Saffron Villas we have had some investors who purchased apartments in the region who have seen 75% growth on their original capital.
